Education CS Julius Ogamba released the 2024 Competency-Based Education and Training assessment results, covering 314 TVET centers nationwide.
A total of 65,808 candidates were assessed across four levels, reflecting a 196% increase from the previous year. The diploma level had 27,636 candidates, while the craft, artisan, and skills certificates had 28,878, 9,090, and 202 candidates, respectively.
Ogamba also launched a dual training policy to enhance practical skills and urged youth to explore opportunities in cybersecurity, AI, and renewable energy while encouraging more women to join male-dominated fields.
