What happened at the earlier Oktobafest shows?
The regional run began with Friday, October 16 events in Nanyuki and Eldoret. In Nanyuki, Otile Brown and Jay Soul headlined at Zero Percent Lounge, with DJs Unclemesh and DJ Evian and MC Ted. In Eldoret, Aslay headlined at Tamasha Sports Bar and Grill, with DJ Gibbz the Daqchild and MC Mido, according to The Kenya Times and The Business Watch.
KenyanVibe also reports a Mashujaa Day event at Al Capone Lounge in Nyali, Mombasa, on Monday, October 19, headlined by Masauti. The Kenya Times and The Business Watch list a Laikipia Barracks stop on October 21; KenyanVibe does not mention it, and 254.ke could not confirm it took place.
The coverage describes local food vendors and discounted beer at the venues, along with flash sales on Kenya Breweries products through supermarkets and e-commerce partners.
What dates are left after Nairobi?
Only KenyanVibe lists later dates, so treat them as unconfirmed: Mombasa on November 1, Ugunja (Nebraska Ugunja) on November 7, and what it calls the penultimate event on November 21 at Big Tree Mombasa. Its listing for the November 1 venue appears garbled, and no final event is named.
Is anything else on in Nairobi?
Nairobi’s live-music calendar has been busy this month. 254.ke earlier covered the Ne-Yo Nairobi concert on October 20 and Fally Ipupa’s return to Nairobi after missing the Kasarani show.
