The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast continued rainfall across various regions from Tuesday, May 20, to Monday, May 26, 2025. Areas expected to receive rain include the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, Western, and North-western Kenya.
Daytime temperatures are projected to reach 30°C or higher in coastal, northeastern, and southeastern lowland areas, while nighttime temperatures may drop below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands, Western, and areas near Mt Kilimanjaro.
In major towns, Nairobi will be mostly cloudy with sunny breaks (15–25°C), Mombasa will see sunshine and showers (25–29°C), and Kisumu will experience rain and sun (19–28°C). Eldoret, Kakamega, Nyeri, and Kitale will have similar mixed weather, while towns like Garissa, Lodwar, and Mandera will be mainly sunny with temperatures rising to 38°C in some areas.
