The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has handed over two newly built classrooms to Moi Barracks Comprehensive School in Eldoret, enhancing the school’s infrastructure. During the handover ceremony, Colonel Christopher Boit praised the construction quality and emphasized the importance of improved learning environments in boosting student performance. He noted that the new facilities reflect KDF’s ongoing commitment to educational development.
Deputy head teacher Hellen Limo thanked KDF for easing classroom congestion and improving the learning atmosphere. The initiative is part of a broader partnership between KDF and educational institutions to promote academic excellence through infrastructure support.
In a related effort, KDF also reopened Cheptulel Boys Secondary School in West Pokot earlier this year after a three-year closure due to insecurity caused by banditry. This reopening, under Operation Maliza Uhalifu, marks a significant step toward restoring peace and normalcy in the region. County Director of Peace Rev. Jackson Alukusia reassured residents of continued safety and encouraged students to focus on their education.
