Gor Mahia are the only side with a perfect record after two rounds of the 2026/27 SportPesa League, having beaten Murang’a SEAL 4-2 and then APS Bomet 1-0 in Homa Bay. AFC Leopards claimed their first win of the season on Tuesday, October 20, with a stoppage-time goal against Kenya Police at Nyayo Stadium. One Round 2 fixture, Tusker against Migori Youth, was postponed. This is where the table stands as of October 22, 2026.

What were the Round 2 results?

Eight of nine Round 2 matches have been played, according to the SportPesa Kenya blog’s collated results. The Gor Mahia match was played on Saturday, October 17; the Leopards match on Tuesday, October 20.

Match Score
KCB v Mathare United 1-0
APS Bomet v Gor Mahia 0-1
Kakamega Homeboyz v Ulinzi Stars 1-1
Shabana v Nairobi United 0-0
Murang’a SEAL v Posta Rangers 5-1
Bandari v 3K FC 1-1
Mara Sugar v Mombasa United 2-1
Kenya Police v AFC Leopards 1-2
Tusker v Migori Youth Postponed (no new date found)

The SportPesa blog reports 17 goals in the eight completed games. The scorelines above add up to 18, so treat the blog’s goals-per-game average with caution.

How did Gor Mahia stay perfect?

Alpha Onyango scored with fewer than five minutes left to give Gor Mahia a 1-0 win over APS Bomet at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on Saturday, October 17, per the SportPesa blog. He drove into the bottom corner after Ben Stanley Omondi controlled a Daniel Sakari cross. Gor Mahia had opened the season with a 4-2 win over Murang’a SEAL.

The SportPesa blog lists Gor Mahia on six points, the only side with two wins from two. Pulse Sports Kenya also describes them as the only team to have won back-to-back games.

How did AFC Leopards win their first game?

AFC Leopards beat Kenya Police 2-1 at Nyayo Stadium on Tuesday, October 20, with both Pulse Sports Kenya and the SportPesa blog crediting substitute Ronald Sichenje with the winner in the 92nd minute.

Pulse’s match report gives this sequence:

  • Kevin Luke Otiala put Leopards ahead in the 49th minute, following a corner.
  • Elvis Rupia equalised for Police around the hour mark.
  • Sichenje scored two minutes into stoppage time.

Pulse also reports that a Tyson Otieno shot at halftime was ruled not to have crossed the line, which prompted protests and objects thrown toward the technical area. Leopards had opened the season with a goalless draw against Bandari, so they now have four points, per Pulse.

Who is on four points, and who has none?

The SportPesa blog puts five teams on four points behind Gor Mahia: Mara Sugar, KCB, Kakamega Homeboyz, Shabana and AFC Leopards. Other positions in the table:

  • Shabana: unbeaten and yet to concede, after a 1-0 win over Posta Rangers and the 0-0 draw with Nairobi United.
  • KCB: unbeaten, after a 2-2 draw with Nairobi United and the win over Mathare United.
  • Kenya Police: one point from two games.
  • Posta Rangers and Mombasa United: the only two sides without a point.

Murang’a SEAL have scored seven and conceded five across two games. Josephat Lopaga leads the scoring with four goals, two in each round, according to the SportPesa blog. Points totals for Tusker, Bandari, 3K FC, Ulinzi Stars, Migori Youth, Nairobi United and Mathare United were not given in the sources checked.

When is Round 3?

The SportPesa blog says Gameweek Three starts on Saturday afternoon, which would be October 24, though it gives no exact date. Fixtures were not listed in the sources checked, so check the Football Kenya Federation for the official schedule at footballkenya.org.
