Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has criticized former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi over his recent remarks questioning President William Ruto’s leadership capacity.
Speaking during an interview on Nation FM, Mwaura dismissed Muturi’s comments as unfair and reactionary, arguing that they stem from his dismissal from Cabinet. He described President Ruto as a focused leader determined to tackle the country’s pressing challenges through intentional and often tough decisions.
Mwaura acknowledged that some of the measures being taken may be unpopular, but insisted they are necessary for Kenya’s long-term benefit. He maintained that, in his view, there is no better leader for the current moment than Ruto, whose ability to balance governance and politics is unmatched.
Having worked with Ruto since 2006, Mwaura emphasized the President’s hands-on involvement in crafting the Kenya Kwanza manifesto, asserting that the administration is executing its promises despite limited resources.
