The British High Commission has celebrated the graduation of seven Kenyan entrepreneurs from the Green Business Building (GBB) accelerator programme, which supports green manufacturing startups. The three-month initiative provided business development training and mentorship from over 30 global experts, helping participants strengthen operations, customer strategies, and investment readiness.
The programme, part of Manufacturing Africa, focuses on biofuels, recycling, electric vehicle assembly, and eco-friendly agriculture. It aims to unlock Kenya’s green economy potential, estimated to generate $2–4 billion in annual revenue and create 200,000 jobs by 2030. A second cohort of 20 startups will soon begin, with applications already open.
