The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya has opened applications for 5,690 positions for principals, deputy principals, headteachers, and deputy headteachers. TSC CEO Nancy Macharia announced that the roles include 755 principal positions at Grade D3, 816 deputy principal III positions at Grade D1, 1,208 headteacher positions at Grade C5, and 2,911 deputy headteacher positions at Grade C4.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply online via the TSC portal by November 18, 2024. Manual applications will not be accepted, and successful applicants will be placed in available locations.
This announcement follows TSC’s recent advertisement for 46,000 teaching posts. In October, TSC received over 314,000 applications for various teaching roles, significantly exceeding the number of vacancies.
