On the eve of his White House return, President-elect Donald Trump pledged to sign a sweeping series of executive orders immediately after taking office. Speaking at a “Victory Rally” in Washington, D.C., he vowed to act with “historic speed and strength” to reverse Biden-era policies and advance his agenda.
Trump plans to issue over 200 executive actions, including orders on immigration, environmental deregulation, artificial intelligence, and military defense. He also promised to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in the military and restrict transgender women from female sports categories. Additionally, he hinted at pardoning individuals convicted in the January 6 Capitol riots, whom he referred to as “hostages.”
The rally, held at Capital One Arena, featured appearances by Kid Rock, Elon Musk, Megyn Kelly, and Trump’s family. Due to severe weather, Monday’s inauguration will take place indoors at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, with supporters encouraged to watch from the arena. Trump’s inaugural speech will emphasize unity, strength, and fairness.
