A family dispute in Cheptais, Bungoma County, ended in tragedy when a 15-year-old boy fatally attacked his 19-year-old brother with a panga. The argument, sparked by a disagreement over a memory card, escalated into violence on May 27.
According to police, the younger sibling—who is in Grade Eight—struck his elder brother, a Form Three student, on the neck and head, leading to his death. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Police have launched a manhunt to track down the teenager, while the victim’s body has been moved to the mortuary. Authorities are urging families to resolve conflicts peacefully as investigations continue into the shocking domestic killing.
