An 18-year-old suspect, Chrispus Kifalu, was found dead in Bamba police cells in Kaloleni after an apparent suicide. He had been arrested for assault and threats. Investigations involve other cellmates and IPOA. Separately, two other men died by suspected suicide in Nyeri and Makueni. Police say male suicides are rising, often linked to personal and mental health struggles.
