A 19-year-old suspect was arrested along the Eastern Bypass in Mwihoko, Nairobi, after returning to a crime scene to steal from stranded motorists. Police say the man, part of a duo on a motorcycle, had earlier robbed four individuals whose vehicle had broken down at dawn on May 20.
As a mechanic attended to the stalled car and officers responded to the initial robbery, the suspect unknowingly returned to the scene. He posed as a good Samaritan, but his suspicious movements led police to confront him. He was arrested on the spot, and a loaded Retay Falcon pistol with three 9mm rounds was found hidden in his sock.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Mukeu location, Thika, police are investigating the discovery of a decomposed male body in River Chania. The body was trapped by tree branches near a water supply area and is believed to have been in the water for several days. Authorities suspect foul play and have taken the body to General Kago mortuary for identification and autopsy.
