Detectives are investigating the murder of Wells Fargo HR manager Willis Ayieko, focusing on a group of at least six suspects, three of whom are now in custody. Among those detained is one man linked to the crime scene, and two women reportedly connected to key suspects who remain at large. According to DCI Director Mohamed Amin, detectives aim to apprehend the full group involved.
The motive remains unclear, but the arrested suspects have indirect ties to Ayieko’s death. During the investigation, authorities recovered Ayieko’s stolen Ceska pistol in a Luanda shootout. Forensic analysis placed one detainee at the scene, and police noted the use of Ayieko’s phone for withdrawals.
Ayieko disappeared after attending a burial on October 18 in Gem, Siaya County. His body was found on October 23 in Yala’s Mungowere stream, near Siaya and Kakamega counties, with an autopsy revealing blunt-force head injuries. Police continue to pursue leads across Nairobi and Siaya.
