As the Safaricom Chapa Dimba season four draws to a close, the excitement among football enthusiasts is palpable. The much-anticipated national final draw, scheduled to take place tomorrow at the Michael Joseph Centre in Nairobi, will set the stage for an exhilarating showdown among the country’s top youth teams.

Sixteen teams, consisting of eight boys’ and eight girls’ regional champions, will compete for the prestigious national title. The draw, conducted by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), will determine the matchups for the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the ultimate final, slated for April 14, 2023, at the Mamboleo Stadium in Kisumu.

Representatives from all eight regions – Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Eastern, Coast, North Eastern, Nairobi, and Central – will participate in the draw, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.

The tournament has seen fierce competition throughout the season, with standout performances from teams such as Ebwali FC and Brenda Girls (Western), Obunga FC and Plateau Queens (Nyanza), and PASC Langa and Wiyeta Girls (Rift Valley). The competition promises to be intense as these teams battle it out for the national title.

Chris Amimo, Chairman of FKF, expressed his excitement for the upcoming draw, highlighting the tournament’s role in nurturing young talent. “Safaricom Chapa Dimba has been instrumental in identifying and developing grassroots football talent. We are proud to see the progress of these young players and look forward to an exciting national final,” he said.

With over 3,000 players participating in the tournament this year, the Safaricom Chapa Dimba season four has been a resounding success. The national finals are expected to showcase the best of Kenyan youth football, highlighting the country’s rich talent pool and the bright future of Kenyan football.
