President William Ruto held a consultative meeting at State House with Narok County leaders ahead of his upcoming two-day development tour, which begins Tuesday. The discussions centered on enhancing development, unity, and cooperation between national and county governments. Ruto emphasized the government’s commitment to working with all leaders, regardless of political affiliation.
Key attendees included Defence CS Soipan Tuya, Narok Governor Patrick Ntutu, and various MPs and MCAs. The President’s tour will cover Emurua Dikirr, Narok West, Narok South, and Kilgoris constituencies. Planned activities include issuing land title deeds in Emurua Dikirr, launching major road projects such as the Sh4.8 billion Ngosuani-Morjo road and the Sh3.8 billion Sogoo-Melelo-Olulung’a road, and commissioning health and administrative facilities like the Sh300 million Sogoo Level 4 Hospital.
The tour follows recent discussions between the President and Maa community governors on development and security. Initially slated for the previous month, the visit had been postponed.
