On Wednesday, President William Ruto welcomed World Bank Regional Vice-President Victoria Kwakwa to State House for bilateral discussions.
Kwakwa was joined by the incoming Country Director Qimiao Fan and the outgoing Country Director Keith Hansen.
National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi and Principal Secretary Chris Kiptoo were also in attendance.
President Ruto emphasized that the World Bank is a key partner in Kenya’s development efforts.
“Through our collaboration, we are addressing access to concessional financing, debt sustainability, and the enhancement of government social interventions, among other initiatives,” he stated.
These talks are part of ongoing efforts to bolster the country’s development agenda through strategic financial support and expanded social programs.
