The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party is mourning the loss of Simon Kilika Mulwa, the Vice Chairman of the Makueni County Coordinating Committee, who passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2024.
ODM praised Mulwa as a committed party member who significantly contributed to the party’s development in the Ukambani region.
“With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Simon Kilika Mulwa, our Vice Chairman for the Makueni County Coordinating Committee, on July 28, 2024. His dedication and contributions to the growth of ODM in Ukambani will be remembered,” the party stated in a communication on Thursday night.
Earlier this year, ODM also mourned the passing of Mama Fatuma Juma Meri, who died after a brief illness in May. Mama Fatuma was the chairperson of the ODM Women’s League for the Msambweni branch.
“Fatuma Juma Meri was a staunch supporter of our party, serving as the ODM County Office Administrator in Kwale and Chair of the ODM Women’s League for the Msambweni Branch. Her unwavering dedication to our party’s principles and her diligent service will be remembered,” ODM shared on X.
