Some areas in Nairobi have been advised to prepare for moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday and Saturday.
In a weather forecast issued by the Kenya Meteorological Department, several parts of Nairobi are expected to receive rain from Friday at 9 am through Saturday at 9 am.
Embakasi West, Embakasi Central, Embakasi North, Dagoretti North, Dagoretti South, and Westlands are among the areas that will experience up to 10mm of rainfall.
Meanwhile, Langata, Starehe, Kamukunji, and parts of Embakasi East and West may see little to no rain.
The forecast for September 24 to 30 indicates that most regions of the country will remain generally sunny and dry, though occasional rain is expected in the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, and coastal areas. Temperatures above 30°C are predicted in parts of the South Rift Valley, Coast, South-eastern lowlands, and North-eastern Kenya, while cooler night temperatures below 10°C will affect parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands.
