NACADA has intensified its crackdown on illegal drugs through coordinated multi-agency operations in Homa Bay and Kisii counties.
In Oyugis, Homa Bay County, two suspects were arrested during a joint raid by NACADA, the Anti-Narcotics Unit, and Administration Police. Authorities seized 400 uncustomed cigarette packets, 14 packets of a popular brand, cash, and suspected cannabis.
In Kisii County, a separate raid in Nyakongo Village uncovered a suspected drug processing site. Officers seized 134 brooms possibly laced with narcotics and two 90-kg sacks of suspected cannabis. Eight suspects were arrested.
These operations follow last month’s dismantling of a major drug network in Kisii. NACADA says the arrests reflect ongoing efforts to disrupt drug syndicates and protect the public. The agency encourages citizens to report drug activities anonymously via hotline 1192.
