Ugandan Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, defended his frequent activity on social media platform X, stating that it is part of his official duties as President Yoweri Museveni’s Special Presidential Advisor on Special Operations. Responding to a user’s claim that “overposting” signals unprofessionalism, Muhoozi refuted the criticism, explaining that his role requires him to comment on socio-political and economic issues. He emphasized that he began posting only seven years ago when appointed to his current advisory role and would cease posting if relieved of the position. Muhoozi’s social media activity has often included controversial remarks, including comments about Uganda’s political landscape and neighboring countries. Despite the controversies, he continues to post frequently.
