A 20-year-old man was arrested in Nyamira County after allegedly killing his 62-year-old father, Julius Ouru Stima, and setting his body on fire. The incident occurred on the evening of May 17, 2025, in Orwaki village, Nyakenimo location.
According to police, the two argued over a woman believed to be the father’s wife. The son reportedly attacked his father, causing fatal head injuries, then dragged the body into the house and set it ablaze using a mattress. Part of the house was damaged before neighbors could intervene. The suspect was arrested at the scene, and police are now searching for the woman at the center of the dispute.
