Thika Chief Magistrate Stellah Atambo and Commissioner Everlyne Olwande are likely to contest again this year for the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) magistrate representative seat. Early lobbying has begun, with both contenders rallying support. Atambo, currently serving in Mt Kenya, is leveraging her wide networks and experience, while Olwande may seek re-election by highlighting her five-year track record. The Kenya Magistrates and Judges Association (KMJA) will oversee the vote, as mandated by the Constitution. The winner will serve a five-year term, representing magistrates’ interests and helping to uphold the independence and integrity of the Judiciary through JSC responsibilities.
