Kenya and the United Arab Emirates have signed seven new agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation in key sectors including defence, customs, border control, energy, and transport. The MoUs were formalised at State House, Nairobi, and follow a broader economic partnership deal signed earlier in Abu Dhabi. President William Ruto and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the signing. The agreements focus on clean energy initiatives, improving transport infrastructure, strengthening customs enforcement, and enhancing defence collaboration. A Kenya-UAE Joint Business Council will also be formed to deepen trade ties, while Kenya Railways and Etihad Rail will partner to modernize rail systems.
