Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has strongly criticised the National Police Service for suggesting that Juja MP George Koimburi may have faked his own abduction.
Speaking at Karen Hospital after visiting Koimburi, Kalonzo called the claims shameful and implausible, pointing to the MP’s torn clothes and physical state as evidence of a real ordeal.
His remarks follow a police statement denying involvement and alleging the MP may have staged the incident. Koimburi was found on Monday in a Kiambu coffee plantation, nearly 12 hours after reportedly being abducted in Mugutha.
Police investigations continue, including questioning of his driver, who claimed the MP requested to be dropped off after hearing of a potential arrest linked to a land case.
