Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo has raised alarm over the mysterious abductions of two men—Abdullahi Bosso and Ali Godana—under troubling circumstances. Godana, the county’s acting Director of Revenue, was reportedly taken by unknown individuals outside his home on Saturday at 5pm. A day earlier, Bosso was allegedly abducted by individuals believed to be security agents along the Kinna-Kulamawe road.
Governor Guyo decried the lack of communication from authorities, leaving the victims’ families in distress. He termed the disappearances as part of a broader trend of enforced disappearances that endanger civil liberties.
Guyo criticized the apparent involvement of security personnel, calling it a betrayal of President William Ruto’s stance against abductions. He demanded Bosso’s immediate release or legal presentation and called for information on Godana’s whereabouts. Urging human rights groups and citizens to act, he emphasized the importance of transparency and the rule of law.
