A man was shot dead, and another seriously injured in an attack at Yaq Barsadi shopping centre, Garbatulla, Isiolo County. The assailant, armed with an AK-47 rifle, opened fire on the victims outside a kiosk on Monday night before fleeing.
Police identified the deceased as Galgalo Agula, while the injured victim was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the attacker, with investigations ongoing.
In a separate incident in Tharaka Nithi, gunmen raided a home, slashed the owner with a panga, and stole over 20 goats. Police are pursuing the suspects, as security operations against cattle rustling continue in the region.
