Police and health officials are probing the death of a 13-year-old pupil from Kabuguri Primary School in Mbeere, Embu County, following suspected food poisoning. The boy had attended a local event on May 11, where he and others consumed food and drinks believed to be contaminated. Several people began experiencing vomiting and diarrhoea, and six were hospitalized. The boy, however, died at home before receiving treatment. Investigators, including health officers, have launched a probe, and the body was moved to a mortuary for autopsy.
