The Portuguese coach, known for his success with Sporting, emphasized that he only wanted Manchester United as his next step, rejecting other lucrative offers. With his appointment, he becomes the sixth manager since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013. Amorim, set to begin at United on November 11, has committed to bringing his own coaching team but promised not to target Sporting players in the January transfer window.
