Police in Nairobi’s Mihango, Kayole, are investigating an incident in which a woman sustained fractures after jumping from the fourth floor of a building, allegedly to escape an attempted rape.
Authorities said the woman claimed she was with the suspect in an apartment when an altercation erupted, during which he attempted to assault her. In an effort to escape, she ran to the balcony and leaped to the ground floor.
Security guards at the building rescued the woman, rushing her to a nearby hospital, while detaining the suspect and notifying the police. Officers confirmed she suffered leg fractures, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
