Political activist Kebaso Morara has announced that his newly registered party, Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT), has officially joined the opposition coalition.
In a statement on Wednesday, Morara emphasized that young people should focus on offering solutions rather than merely complaining about the country’s challenges. He stressed that joining the opposition provides an opportunity to uphold good governance and advocate for justice and opportunities for the youth.
Morara declared that Gen Z members of INJECT are now part of the opposition and expressed confidence in their eventual rise to power. He pledged to lead with integrity and urged his supporters to actively work towards systemic change.
His announcement follows recent engagements with opposition leaders, including attending the rebranding of the People’s Liberation Party (PLP) and private meetings with key political figures like former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. On Tuesday, he joined opposition leaders in discussions on forming a united front against President William Ruto in 2027.
INJECT was founded in September 2024 in response to nationwide Gen Z-led anti-government protests. However, it is yet to be officially registered by the Registrar of Political Parties. Morara gained prominence as a leading voice in the protests and has since emerged as a key political figure among young activists.
