President William Ruto’s three new Cabinet appointees—William Kabogo, Mutahi Kagwe, and Lee Kinyanjui—will be sworn in on Friday at State House, Nairobi. Kabogo will head the Ministry of Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy, Kagwe will lead Agriculture and Livestock Development, while Kinyanjui will oversee Investments, Trade, and Industry.
Their swearing-in follows National Assembly approval after a vetting process conducted by the Appointments Committee, chaired by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula. The committee assessed their academic and professional qualifications, determining they were fit for their respective roles.
The new CSs replace Margret Nyambura, Andrew Karanja, and Salim Mvurya, who was reassigned to the Sports Ministry. Karanja was appointed Kenya’s Ambassador to Brazil, while Nyambura declined an ambassadorial post to Ghana.
