Pastor Hosea Rono, 29, leads six churches in Marumbasi, Kericho County, serving a congregation of 570 members. Raised by his mother, Mary Koros, in a faith-filled home, Rono initially aspired to join the police service. However, a prophetic declaration by Pastor Seronei when Rono was just two weeks old planted the seeds for his pastoral journey.
Baptized at 14, Rono fully embraced his faith, later pursuing theology and leadership at Bugema University, graduating in 2024. Ordained that same year, he has proven to be a dedicated and compassionate leader, balancing spiritual and practical needs while navigating the challenges of ministry.
Despite modest earnings and past struggles, including working as a potato transporter, Rono remains committed to his calling. He credits his mother’s resilience and faith for shaping his path and eagerly looks forward to his official graduation in 2025 and future personal milestones.
