A man accused of attempted murder surrendered to Nakuru police on Monday morning, accompanied by his lawyer. The suspect allegedly stabbed his girlfriend multiple times during a domestic dispute at their Kiamunyi home on November 22.
The victim, who also co-manages a land business with the suspect, was found unconscious with stab wounds on her head and hands. She told authorities the altercation escalated, leading to the attack. The suspect fled the scene but later turned himself in for interrogation.
The woman was hospitalized and is in stable condition. The suspect is now held at Menengai Police Station as detectives investigate the attempted murder and the motive behind the incident.
Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja commented on the rising assault and murder cases, emphasizing the need for public awareness of the severe consequences of such crimes. He urged parties to resolve conflicts peacefully to avoid violent outcomes.
