A 22-year-old man is being sought by police in Trans Nzoia County after allegedly murdering his six-year-old stepbrother in Stofa Farm, Kiminini, on May 28.
According to authorities, the suspect used a hoe handle to strike the child on the head, fatally injuring him. Despite attempts by the suspect’s mother to intervene, the boy succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital. The attacker fled the scene immediately after the assault, and a manhunt is underway.
The motive behind the brutal act remains unclear. The child’s body has been moved to a local mortuary for postmortem examination as investigations continue.
