A wave of suspected suicides and sudden deaths reported across several counties has raised concern, with police launching investigations into the incidents.
In Ruiru, Kiambu County, 28-year-old John Kamau was found dead in his family home, hanging from the ceiling with a rope. He had been missing for several hours. Police moved the body to the mortuary as they seek to establish the motive.
This case is among three suicides reported on Wednesday. Authorities note that most suicide victims continue to be male, amid rising mental health concerns.
