A police constable at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) was robbed of his G3 rifle and 20 rounds of ammunition after stepping outside his duty post. The officer was later detained to aid in the investigation, as authorities suspect premeditated planning behind the incident.
This follows a separate attack in Samburu on November 9, where gunmen injured an officer and stole his loaded G3 rifle during an operation to intercept stolen livestock. Police warn that such stolen weapons pose significant risks if used in criminal activities.
