Detectives are investigating the suicide of Daniel Orare, 47, who was found dead in a hospital toilet at Marani Level Four Hospital in Kisii. He had been admitted for over a week and used a bedsheet tied to a shower tap. The motive remains unclear.
The incident is among three suicides reported on the same day, including a man found hanging from a tree in Kisii and another in Machakos who died by suicide at home.
Meanwhile, an unidentified body was found on a roadside in Meru. Authorities warn of rising suicide cases, citing economic and social pressures as key causes.
