The Kenyan High Commission has advised Kenyans living in or traveling to the United Kingdom to avoid areas affected by protests.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the Mission highlighted that the unrest is being fueled by far-right and anti-immigrant groups.
“The violence has spread across several towns and cities in the UK,” the High Commission stated. “Kenyans are urged to stay clear of protest zones and remain vigilant.”
The Mission also recommended that Kenyan citizens keep informed through updates from the UK government and local authorities.
“We will make every effort to keep Kenyans in the UK updated on any new developments or changes,” the notice added.
