When is Keinemusik playing in Nairobi?
Keinemusik makes its Nairobi debut on Saturday, November 21, according to the event listing on Quicket, the Kenyan ticketing platform. The listing names the group’s three members, &ME, Rampa and Adam Port, and says doors run from 4pm until 2am on Sunday.
The ticket terms are strict. Entry is for people aged 18 and above, the ticket holder’s name must match a valid government ID (copies are accepted), tickets are non-transferable and the listing says there are no refunds under any circumstances. The event is run by Gondwana Music Limited, per the listing’s media notice.
Prices have moved. The Rio Times, which reviewed the listing in late September, reported tiers from Sh6,500 up to Sh32,400. The Quicket page on October 29 showed only the “from Sh6,500” starting price. A separate listing on eGotickets, under a different organiser name, showed tickets as “coming soon”, so buyers should confirm through the organiser’s own channels before paying.
Where and when is Fatboy Slim playing in Nairobi?
Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, plays on Friday, December 11. The artist’s own gig list gives the venue as Muze Open Air, Hangar 16, Wilson Airport. The promoter’s Mookh page says the show has a new format, venue and hours “due to popular demand”, with the night running from 8pm to 5am on Saturday.
That differs from the original plan reported by K24 Digital in September, which described a club show at Muze in Westlands. Readers who bought on the earlier understanding should check the Mookh page for the current venue.
Mookh lists five price phases. Phases 1 to 4, priced at Sh1,000, Sh2,000, Sh3,000 and Sh4,000, show as sold out on the page. Phase 5, at Sh5,000, was the only one on sale on October 29. The Rio Times earlier noted that the page showed no Phase 3 among the listed tiers; the page now lists it as sold out.
Nairobi is the first African date on the artist’s schedule. Johannesburg follows on December 12 at James and Ethel Gray Park, and Cape Town on December 15 and 16 at Cabo Beach.
What have organisers not said?
- No set times or support acts for Keinemusik had been published on the Quicket listing as of October 29.
- No supporting DJs and no age limit are listed on the Mookh page for Fatboy Slim.
- Neither listing sets out transport, parking or security arrangements. Wilson Airport and Uhuru Gardens are both off Lang’ata Road, a few minutes apart.
What else is on Nairobi’s concert calendar?
K24 Digital’s September roundup of major concerts coming to Kenya also listed Ne-Yo (October 20), Koffi Olomide (October 10) and reggae artist Don Carlos (October 9 and 10). Those dates have passed. For earlier coverage, see our report on the Ne-Yo Nairobi concert, the story of Fally Ipupa’s return to Nairobi and the guide to the Bayern Munich vs Ajax Nairobi match on January 5.
