Gor Mahia lead the 2026/27 FKF Premier League on nine points after three wins from three games, with Mara Sugar second on five. The defending champions beat Bandari 1-0 at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, October 24, while AFC Leopards and Shabana both sit on five points after a goalless draw on Sunday. Here is where the table stands on October 27, 2026, and what the midweek round could change.

SportPesa League Round 2: Gor Mahia Stay Perfect

October 26, 2026

What is the FKF Premier League table after round 3?

Only the top of the table is firmly confirmed in match reports. Gor Mahia are alone at the summit with a perfect record, and the sides behind them are separated by small margins.

Club Played Points Notes
Gor Mahia 3 9 Only side with three wins from three
Mara Sugar 3 5 2-2 vs 3K FC, 2-1 vs Mombasa United, 0-0 vs Ulinzi Stars
AFC Leopards 3 5 Drew with Bandari and, on Sunday, Shabana
Shabana FC 3 5 0-0 vs AFC Leopards on October 25
Ulinzi Stars 3 2 Lost 2-0 to Tusker, drew with Kakamega Homeboyz; no win yet

The sources reviewed do not publish the full 18-team table or confirm exact positions below second, so clubs outside the list above are left out rather than guessed. Check the official FKF Premier League table for the complete standings.

How did Gor Mahia stay perfect?

Alpha Onyango scored the only goal against Bandari. Eastleigh Voice puts it in the 67th minute; Africa Soccer says the 69th. Africa Soccer adds that the goal was set up by substitute Ebenezer Assifuah and was Onyango’s second of the season, while Eastleigh Voice says he has now scored in three straight league matches. The two reports differ on those details, so treat them with some caution.

What is not in dispute is the run. Gor Mahia opened with a 4-2 win over Murang’a SEAL on October 13, then beat APS Bomet 1-0 the following weekend before this result. Coach Charles Akonnor’s side has now won three league games after exiting the CAF Champions League qualifiers to Pyramids FC in September. For earlier rounds, see our reports on round two and the opening results delayed by court action.

What else happened on the weekend?

  • Mara Sugar 0-0 Ulinzi Stars at St Sebastian Park in Murang’a on Saturday, which left Mara Sugar second.
  • Posta Rangers 1-0 KCB on Saturday.
  • Migori Youth 0-0 Mathare United on Saturday.
  • AFC Leopards 0-0 Shabana at Nyayo on Sunday, October 25.

The Leopards-Shabana game turned on a penalty. In the 58th minute, Leopards captain Kayci Odhiambo took a spot-kick awarded after Shabana defender Herbert Sanday tackled Samuel Semo late inside the box. Shabana goalkeeper Pavel Ndzila saved it, according to Pulse Sports. Both clubs are four points behind Gor Mahia.

Which club changed its coach?

Kenya Police announced they have parted ways with head coach Nicholas Muyoti and assistant John Baraza. The club said it “consented to their requests” and recognises that “the coaching dynamics are shifting,” as reported by Africa Soccer. No replacement had been named in the reports reviewed.

What are the FKF Premier League fixtures this week?

The next round is midweek on Wednesday, October 28. Pulse Sports lists AFC Leopards against Mara Sugar, which pits two of the five-point sides against each other, and Shabana against Migori Youth. Goal.com’s fixture list shows Gor Mahia away to Kakamega Homeboyz the same day and then at home to Mombasa United on November 1. Kick-off times and venues can change, so confirm with the club or FKF before travelling.
