Congolese rhumba star Fally Ipupa has confirmed a return to Nairobi for a concert on September 5, following his absence from the Africa Forward Le Concert event in Kasarani in May.
The show, billed as part of his “Tokooos” tour, will be held at Uhuru Gardens and will feature a supporting lineup including South African amapiano acts DJ Maphorisa and Kamo Mphela, alongside Tango Supreme, DJ Ice and Joe Mfalme.
Organizers describe the event as “one night, five acts,” blending Congolese rhumba with amapiano and other genres for a mixed audience of Kenyan and regional fans.
Ticket sales opened with early-bird pricing before selling out, with regular tickets now priced at Ksh 10,000, VIP at Ksh 30,000 and VVIP at Ksh 40,000. Wave 1 tickets are currently on sale through official vendors including Ticketsasa and Ticketyetu.
Fally Ipupa’s last scheduled Nairobi appearance drew disappointment among fans after he missed the May concert in Kasarani. Organizers have not detailed the reason for that absence but say logistics for the September date are already underway.
The concert adds to what industry watchers are calling Kenya’s busiest entertainment month, with multiple international acts scheduled to perform in Nairobi through August and September as promoters capitalize on school holidays and peak crowds.
