Police have recovered bodies from separate water bodies in Migori, Kericho, Makueni, and Busia following multiple drowning incidents.
In Migori, the body of 47-year-old James Ahero was found in a stream in Kamagambo, Rongo, while in Kericho, Collins Mutai, a local teacher, was discovered in River Kiptui. In Makueni, a 12-year-old girl drowned in a family borehole while fetching water, and in Busia, a 42-year-old woman, reportedly epileptic, drowned in a stagnant pool.
Meanwhile, in Siaya County, a fisherman, Kennedy Adere Okumu, was killed by a crocodile at Kowang Beach in Lake Victoria. Authorities have urged caution in water-related activities to prevent further tragedies.
