Absa Bank Kenya has appointed Anne Nyongesa as its new Company Secretary, effective February 28, 2025. She replaces Wilson Murage, who is leaving the company to pursue other interests.
Nyongesa brings extensive experience in legal and governance roles within the financial services sector. An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with 17 years of experience, she is also a Certified Public Secretary. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi.
The Board expressed confidence in her expertise and welcomed her to the role. Meanwhile, they extended their gratitude to Murage for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors.
