Suba North MP and Minority Whip Millie Odhiambo has clarified that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is not part of the government despite some of its members working with it.
She emphasized that ODM has no formal coalition agreement with the ruling party, stating, “We may be cooperating, but we are not in government.” Odhiambo rejected claims that ODM is in the broad-based government formed after the 2024 protests, asserting that legal distinctions matter.
While President Ruto appointed ODM members to his Cabinet, party leaders insist ODM remains in opposition and part of the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
