Justin Muturi, nominee for Public Service Cabinet Secretary, disclosed a net worth of Sh801 million during his recent vetting session, up from Sh761 million at his previous appearance.
He attributed the increase primarily to the appreciation of small properties in rural areas and income from farming activities. Muturi recounted his career trajectory, starting as a junior public servant earning Sh2,400, and emphasized his commitment to modest service over 15 years.
Muturi highlighted that his financial disclosure aimed to demonstrate his background as a dedicated public servant. His career progression includes prior roles such as Attorney General in President William Ruto’s former Cabinet until its dissolution on July 11, 2024.
Pending confirmation, Muturi is set to succeed former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.
