The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has stated that President William Ruto’s recently announced broad-based cabinet reflects extensive consultations.
In a statement released on Thursday, the party emphasized that these consultations involved a wide array of stakeholders from both private and public sectors.
“This inclusive approach ensures that the Cabinet represents the entire political spectrum and authentically mirrors Kenya’s diverse demographics,” the statement affirmed.
UDA underscored the significance of the new Cabinet in advancing the nation’s developmental goals and ensuring stability.
“It will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient public services, expanding employment opportunities, fostering wealth creation, and creating an environment conducive to the prosperity of all Kenyans,” UDA asserted.
The party highlighted that the government’s transformation agenda aims to achieve universal health coverage, safeguarding individuals from financial hardship due to healthcare expenses.
Additionally, the government is committed to establishing an inclusive education system that supports learners from vulnerable backgrounds and promoting dignified housing through affordable housing initiatives.
Further components of the transformation agenda encompass ensuring reliable access to clean water, extending electricity to the last mile, and enhancing business opportunities and employment prospects for youth, both locally and internationally.
UDA emphasized that the ultimate objective is to elevate Kenya to a middle-income status, necessitating the mobilization of adequate resources to fund critical programs and projects.
The party encouraged Kenyans to participate actively in public consultations regarding the Cabinet nominations, emphasizing the pivotal role of the Cabinet in driving Kenya’s transformative agenda forward.
“Public participation is vital, and we urge Kenyans to share their feedback, recognizing the essential role of the Cabinet in advancing the transformative agenda that aims to make Kenya a more equitable, just, and prosperous nation for all,” UDA concluded.
