Two men were murdered, and a third seriously injured, in a suspected attack along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway near Petro City Petrol Station in Athi River, Machakos County.
The victims were identified as Robert Irungu Makeri, 61, and an unidentified man, while 64-year-old Samwel Njoroge sustained severe injuries.
According to police, the incident may have resulted from a clash between rival groups. The bodies were taken to Shalom Community Hospital mortuary for autopsy, while detectives from Athi River police station have launched investigations.
