Sudan has accused Kenya of hostility and violating good neighborliness by allowing the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to host political activities at KICC. The Sudanese Foreign Ministry called Kenya’s move an endorsement of RSF’s alleged crimes and urged international condemnation.
Kenya, however, denied supporting RSF, with Foreign Affairs PS Korir Sing’oei insisting that Kenya backs a negotiated settlement. The RSF met at KICC to plan the launch of a “Government of Peace and Unity,” despite Sudan’s dismissal of the event’s legitimacy. The ongoing Sudan conflict has caused massive displacement and loss of life.
