Simaloi Dajom, a distinguished media expert with nearly two decades of experience, has been appointed to oversee the Nation Broadcasting Division in Kenya. Her extensive background includes senior roles at Royal Media Services and Mediamax Network, where she has developed a strong track record in audience growth, content development, and business expansion.
In her new role, Dajom will be responsible for driving the performance and growth of Nation Media Group’s television and radio stations. Her key tasks will include crafting and implementing a broadcast strategy designed to boost ratings and increase market share.
Dajom’s expertise spans media production, programming, and talent development, which will be crucial in enhancing NMG’s broadcasting operations. Her previous position as Chief Content & Strategy Officer at Mediamax Network and various leadership roles at Royal Media Services have honed her skills in strategic content development and media sustainability.
A graduate of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication, Dajom is also a board member of Films Without Borders (UK). Her career achievements include significant contributions to over 30 media stations across Kenya and Africa, particularly in media training, development communication, and strategic partnerships.
Notable for her role as Deputy Director at Royal Media Services, Dajom played a crucial part in content production and editing across 14 stations. Her impactful journalism career includes serving as a news anchor at Citizen TV, where she delivered national and international news with clarity and impartiality.
Dajom has successfully mentored and trained over 700 media professionals, including journalists, content creators, and executives, throughout Kenya and Africa. Her leadership and influence in the media industry have earned her a place on Nation Media Group’s Business Daily Newspaper’s list of Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40 Women.
