Power has been restored to most regions affected by Tuesday night’s blackout, Kenya Power announced. Efforts are ongoing to restore supply to the remaining areas.
In a Wednesday morning update, the utility company reported progress in restoring power to North Rift, Central Rift, Western Kenya, South Nyanza, parts of Nairobi, and the Mt. Kenya regions.
Despite widespread outages reported earlier, power was restored in many areas by 5 a.m. However, some Nairobi residents still woke up without electricity.
Kenya Power stated the cause of the outage remains unknown and apologized for the inconvenience, urging patience as teams work to restore full service. Regular updates on the restoration process will be provided.
